The REACH Museum is a great place to learn about the history and culture of the Tri-Cities area. Self-guided tours through our featured galleries and rotating exhibits inside, to the amazing outdoor area with a garden of local plant species, to sculptures designed by local artists that embrace our cultural environment, and especially the amazing view of the majestic Columbia River.

The Hanford Nuclear Reservation is part of the Hanford Site, which is a decommissioned nuclear production complex on the Columbia River. It has also been known as Site W and the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project, the site was home to the Hanford Engineer Works and B Reactor, the first full-scale plutonium production reactor in the world. Plutonium manufactured at the site was used in the first atomic bomb, which was tested in the Trinity nuclear test, and in the Fat Man bomb used in the bombing of Nagasaki.

Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery has a tasting room that sits amidst their 2500-acre vineyard. Housed in a Tuscan-themed building with both a front and back courtyard, this is a lovely place to try some of their award-winning wine. Goose Ridge is a family-owned business and operates the largest contiguous estate vineyard in Washington, and all their wines are made with 100 percent estate fruit.

The Howard Amon Park. has many features including a swimming pool, bathhouse, and bandstand for concerts and celebrations. Richland was a small, tight-knit community remembered by a pre-war resident as “an interesting place to grow up because you were involved in all the activities,” which included boat races and concerts in Howard Amon Park. Howard Amon Park has been a place for relaxation and community activities for over 100 years.

Chamna Natural Preserve is a 276-acre park hidden in central Richland along the Yakima River. Despite its relatively small size, Chamna has an extensive trail network, with more than 11 miles of named trails maintained by the Tapteal Greenway for hiker, biker, and equestrian use.
