Burbank is named for Luther Burbank and is a neighborhood located just east of Pasco and Kennewick, across the Snake and Columbia Rivers. Although Burbank is much smaller than either of the two cities, generally Burbank can be considered to be part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan area. Living in Burbank offers residents a suburban rural mix feel and most residents own their homes. Many families live in Burbank and there are a lot of parks.

Hood Park has 67 campsites and is located just a few miles downstream at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. In addition to electric hookups, each site has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grate. Campsites are fairly large and spread out throughout the campground. Large trees provide nice shade to most sites and manicured grass surrounds all campsites.

McNary National Wildlife Refuge is a welcomed respite for migratory birds, native plants and human visitors alike. The 15,000 acres of sloughs, ponds, streams and islands - riparian and wetland habitat as well as upland shrub-steppe and cliff-talus habitat are important to migratory waterfowl, shorebirds and songbirds. Excellent opportunities to birdwatch, photograph wildlife, and to hunt and fish occur on all of management units.
