Pasco’s picturesque landscape and inviting food scene offer unlimited opportunities for exploration, with a myriad of hiking and biking pathways, an 18-hole public golf course, and savory and sweet bites—many of which reflect Pasco’s strong Hispanic population. It began as a railroad construction camp in the late 1800s, named by a Northern Pacific Railway engineer who helped build a railroad in Peru.

Sacajawea Historical State Park is a 267-acre park at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers. The park features park grounds where the Lewis & Clark Expedition camped on their epic journey. Discover the rich cultural history of the Columbia Plateau at the Sacajawea Interpretive Center. You can launch motorized and non-motorized watercraft for excellent fishing and water sports, or enjoy shore fishing and wildlife watching.

Franklin County Historical Society was built in 1911 with the purpose to collect, preserve, and interpret a diverse range of objects, including artifacts, art, anthropology, and natural history. Pasco Aviation Museum is located in the original historic Naval Air Station Pasco Control Tower building and features a wide variety of exhibits and displays about the local aviation history dating back over 100 years ago! Aviation pioneers, first commercial airmail flight, WWII Navy training base and more. It's goals are to preserve history for future generations and share aviation with all generations.
